1. Install a WordPress theme using dashboard
To begin starting to install your WordPress theme first you need to login to your website and then on the dashboard to go Appearance > Theme > Add New then you will see available theme out there.
Next, go to the search box and do the search theme you want to install on your website, and then press enter to start a search, in this example, I am using the Astra theme to install on my blog.
After you had see your searched theme then you need to click on install button and the theme being installed after it had done then you need to click on activate.
After activating the theme you will now able to preview the change of installed theme and see how it look.
Another method…
If you had a downloaded theme file from the web and want to install it on your website through the dashboard can also do that as well.
On dashboard to go Appearance > theme > Add New then on the top left corner click on Upload Theme button then you will able to upload the theme where located on your computer by click on browse button.
After you have to click on install button then the theme being install after it done you have to click on activate to be use the theme.
Now you had done the first step of how to install WordPress theme on your website and using theme to showcase your online present.
2. Install a WordPress Theme cPanel
In this case you may downloaded a theme file from the web and want to install on your website, so first you need to login to your hosting account and then go to cPanel to begin starting to install your WordPress theme.
After you did that let’s go and find File Manager and open it up (if you have multiple websites hosted in the same account you need to select the one you want to install a theme on) and click on the go button.
Now you will see the new page of cPanel of a file manager and then go looking for WP-Content folder and open it up and then you will multi-folder inside it and you have to open the Theme folder.
After at the top navigation menu you have to click on upload icon to upload the file and make sure you have a .zip file extension.
When the file uploaded you need to refresh the page and then extract the file from .zip extension to make it as normal folder.
Now back to your website dashboard and go to Appearance > Theme you will see the your uploaded theme to use it you need to click on activate.
You now you had done the second step of install WordPress theme on your website and we are moving to the final step.
3. Install a WordPress theme Via FTP FileZilla
To begin you have to download FTP software FileZilla on your computer to getting start upload the theme file to your website hosting.
But if you need permission to access your file via FTP software like user name and password if you not sure about you can use your cPanel to setup these things before you can get start upload the file throw FTP software.
Once again, make sure you need to have download theme file located on your computer and extract it from the zip file.
Then we ready to go…
Now let’s getting start using FileZilla software to upload the theme file to your website and it needs user name and password example: example.com user name and password whatever you had setup.
after you log in and then find out the theme folder and right-click on it and click on upload or you can open it and drag the folder you want to upload on your website.
